The Chrysler Foundation Scholarship Program

The Chrysler Foundation is once again sponsoring a competitive scholarship program for dependent children of eligible Chrysler employees. All Chrysler Scholarship Program applications must be completed and postmarked on or before Feb. 1 to be considered for the current year's program.

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of academic record, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, honors, work experience, statement of goals and aspirations, unusual personal or family circumstances, and an outside appraisal. Once scholarship recipients are selected, financial data is reviewed to determine the amount of each award, ranging from $500 to $5,000. The minimum award of $500 is considered an honorarium and granted for one-time only. Recipients whose parents choose not to supply the requested financial information will be eligible to receive a minimum award only.

Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of The Chrysler Foundation play a part in the selection. All applicants agree to accept the decision of Scholarship America as final.

Applicants will be notified on or after April 30. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. Students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.

Questions regarding the program should be directed to Scholarship America (the organization that handles the scholarship program) at 1-800-537-4180.
